Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the functional and radiological results in the treatment of complex fractures of the elbow using ORIF, anatomical plates and miniplates.
RESULTS: The result in the surgical treatment of complex elbow fractures was determined by
ORIF, anatomical plates and miniplates at Hospital Alcívar corresponding to the period from January 2017 to May 2017.
2019.
CONCLUSIONS: Complex elbow fractures are treated surgically using ORIF, anatomical plates, and miniplates, exerting anatomical restoration and allowing early joint movement. Inadequate treatment produces persistent instability, pain, stiffness, and functional impotence.
