OCULAR INJURY IN A PEDIATRIC AGE ABOUT A CASE

Abstract
Eye injuries are very common in pediatric patients, characterized by mild to severe signs and symptoms depending on the mechanism of trauma. It can lead to transient or permanent blindness. The clinical case presented is a 5-year-old patient who presented with cornea, pupil and iris involvement on the right eye produced by trauma with a sharp plastic object. He was evaluated and managed by the ophthalmologic surgical team, in order to avoid further damage at the ocular tissue and to prevent visual acuity from being affected.
