SURVEILLANCE CULTURES IN CHILDREN HOSPITALIZED AT ION SOLCA 2019

Abstract
In the department of Pediatrics of the ION SOLCA GUAYAQUIL in 2019, in search of infrequent or multiresistant germs, surveillance cultures were carried out that included nasal, pharyngeal and perianal cultures. Children undergoing rescue treatments with profound and prolonged neutropenia or who had received multiple regimens of antibiotics were studied. 411 cultures were taken: 150 perianal, 150 nasal and 111 pharyngeal.
Isolating 4 Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, 2
Multiresistant pseudomonas, 2
enterococci
resistant, 8 Klebsiellas KPC, 8 bacteria with KPC: 6 Enterobacter (3 aerogenes, 3 cloacae) and 2 Citrobacter (freundity farmeri) and 54 ESBL. A total positivity of 36% (149/411)
