DERMATOFIBROSARCOMA PROTUBERANS. A case report.
Main Article Content
Abstract
Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare, slow-growing, locally malignant soft tissue sarcoma. It represents less than 0.1% of malignant neoplasms and 1.8% of all soft tissue sarcomas.
The case of a 55-year-old male with a nodular lesion located in the trunk with clinical characteristics of DFSP confirmed with histopathology is presented.
The first line of treatment is surgery with wide local resection or Mohs micrographic surgery, with other therapeutic alternatives.
