Abstract
We present the case of a male patient out of 10 diagnosed with sickle cell anemia (2009), splenectomized with recurrent veno-occlusive crises, subjected to allogeneic transplantation from an unrelated donor, with myeloablative conditioning (using fludarabine together with busulfan), thymoglobulin prophylaxis and methotrexate. ; admitted to the bone marrow transplant unit of Solca Guayaquil Guayaquil on day +165 post HSCT (transplant) for study of autoimmune autoimmune cytopenia vs chronic GVHD. (Graft versus Host Disease).
