Abstract

One of the main complications in the patient
surgical cancer is malnutrition, for this reason
the case of a 66-year-old female patient was reviewed, the
she which she was in critical condition with radical surgery
HIPEC cancer, so the nutritional status influences
in the tolerance of this treatment, thus being one of the
major fields of innovation and development in medicine.
In addition, it must be treated in a particular way, since
patients with this type of disease should receive
interdisciplinary cancer care.
The proper management of nutritional support fulfills a
fundamental role in surgical cancer patients,
Since malnutrition decreases the quality of life of the
patient, increases the risk of infections, reduces their
strength and muscle mass, increases the prevalence of
morbidity and mortality For this reason, nutritional intervention
early can improve the prognosis of patients
and to reduce the rate of complications of said
disease.
It is necessary the participation between the oncologist and the
clinical nutrition specialist For this reason, an ideal
nutritional support will allow a successful treatment
complete oncology, being that nutrition today
provides substances to rectify the response of the
neoplasms with mechanisms of action. (Fort, 2016) The
which are different from the current cytostatics that are
show on the case.
