Micra pacemaker in post-Corevalve TAVI patient.
Main Article Content
Abstract
The increase in life expectancy of the population today has led to a rise in the number of devices, generating an increase in associated complications. In our setting, after TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation or Replacement), it is necessary to implant a permanent pacemaker in 14% of cases, which constitutes an added cause of morbidity and increased hospital stay. In elderly patients, these two aspects can take on particular importance. In this context, a new Micra Pacemaker technology has emerged in recent years, which differs from conventional pacemakers and could avoid the associated complications.
