Main Article Content
Abstract
Bullous pemphigoid is a rare autoimmune disease in children; characterized by the presence of autoantibodies in the area of the epithelial basement membrane. This disease has been related to the intake of drugs, autoimmune processes and the administration of vaccines with the appearance of lesions up to 4 weeks after said predisposing factor. Its treatment is based on immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory drugs, thus having a good prognosis, better than the variety of the adult patient.
We present the case of a male schoolboy, who was admitted due to the presence of blistering lesions on the hands and feet, with a biopsy result in the first instance of severe dyshidrotic eczema, receiving oral corticosteroids, cures by plastic surgery service and intravenous antibiotic therapy, with notable improvement of lesions. Two weeks later, the condition exacerbated with the appearance of new generalized lesions at the level of the trunk, flexural areas, and acral regions of the hands and feet, characterized by large tense blisters, with serosanguinous content, pruritic, painful on handling.
