Abstract
The challenges that the new century has brought to nursing professionals are important for personal development, professional qualification and the evolution of the health system in Ecuador. The need to be immersed in emerging trends is a challenge for health personnel in our country, the application of technology, the implementation of advanced nursing practice teams, specialization in the fields of knowledge and humanized care implemented through public health services are still pending tasks that are among the objectives of nursing personnel in our country.
